I prefere crafting to cleaning! I am so lazy to even clean my crafroom, but this morning I made firm decision to clean my - refrigerator!
4 years ago when we moved to new part of house we have bought brand new kitchen - fridge also!
I know, maybe I should not post pics of how my fridge and its inside looked before … but since it’s my fridge - I will!
The “situation” early in the morning:

I removed all shelves and drawers and they were dirty as hell:

Washed them thoroughly:

The (empty) inside of the fridge looked like this:

To clean it I used the advice from HERE and worked perfectly for me!
Also I got rid off of all food I didn’t need and in no time I got brand new inside!

Please note extra space on top shelf for beers!!!!
Must cofess - fact that I was taking photos throughout the cleaning process - motivated me to do it with big smile on my face! I guess - next challenge would be my bedroom!
4 months hiatus! Damn! No proper excuse except I got stuck into my own routine and simple lost will to write!
Right now I’m working on second crochet robot character for transmedia project called “Moj dida je vanzemaljac” (my grandpa is an alien) by Irena Krčelić. I got a sketch (by Zdenko Bašić):

…and turned it into 3D!

Now I have to crochet 4 more ones in different coloures!
On family fronts … daughters 1 and 2 are on summer break for month and half, and there are still month to go!
My parents visited this weekend and kids were thrilled!

I think this will be enough for the first post in 4 months! And I really need it (just for my own sanity)!

Sleeping Bunny in the Clouds was my contribution for series of Easter related tutorials in croatian craft magazine Do!ts!

Sleepy is worked top-down, in continuous rounds – no joining, no slip sts, no turning work. However, you will have to mark either first or last stitch of current round!
Stuff Sleepy as you crochet!
You will need: cream and pale pink yarn od your choice, crochet hook, embroidery thread and fiber fill!

Leave thread long enough to sew open.
Since the Sleepy has its chin slightly lowered to its chest, mark 3-4 sc both on chin and chest:

Sew those sc sts together.
Then embroidery eyes and nose.

Sew arms , feet and ears to sides of body. Make pompon and attach it.

Few months ago, when my hunger for quilting started, I have been watching related video tutorials like mad (while I was knitting/crocheting late in the night) and learned a lot! Amongs all there was a video about perfect fabric circle using fabric and fusible interfacing!
Catch was to face right sides of fabric and interfacing, top stitch them, cut the open on interfacing, turn it inside out, make circle line smooth (with the little help of finger, pencil, tweezers…) and then iron it!
I am having this this little “prelude” just because my acquaintance (kindergarten teacher) asked me to bright up her boring blue apron (one that is worn over a head).

That acquaintance saw a dragonfly hat I crocheted for Lola and she wanted dragonfly application.
I thought top stitching fabric and interfacing would have been perfect solution …

O additionally trimmed sew allowance, made long cut on interfacing

and killed my butt trying to decently turned it inside out! Not easy at all - since dragonfly body in not a circle!
But I turned it somehow, no matter how wrong side looked after

important was that right side was usable!

Used solid pale yellow fabric for wings

Pinning all part in the place fun

All part sewed, buttons attached!

Daughter the eldest posed, with that puberty face, but she was way too in hurry (computer was calling her) so the pic is blurry and unsatisfactory!

Most certainly spring is here! And everytime someone mentions spring I always hear nothing but “Poisoning pidgeons in the park” by Tom Lehrer in my head! Hope, in next life, I’ll have hubby with such irony/sarcsm!
Spring made me go out of my boots and have open toes - finally!

Lola can play football outside - finally!

Trampoline is out ready for bouncing - finally!

Started project I haven’t done in long time (custom made pillowcase) - finally!

And for final finally - my hear is finally pinkish as I wanted (though there is a chance I become bold if I continuo experimenting with hair-coloures!)

Three days ago O bought me expensive sandals! No guilty involved! An early b-day present to me from me (after all I’m the one that should know me the best)!
Pic in next post (I was trying to find any on net but with no luck)
Meanwhile I’ve been knitting in black. And since most of my knitting takes time during nights (rarely I’m in bed before 2AM) - black is not the best choice (take into account I’m shortsighted).
But my cousin/SIL needs black lacey tunic to mask sweat stains on her cotton shirts.
Unfortunatelly I was probably sleeping on my ears when cousin/SIL asked for lace pattern and started tunic with these:

Luckily, I showed WIP to my cousin/SIL before it was too late to make some changes (and avoid ripping). Three rounds of garters were enough to make transition to what SIL asked for - “punctured” pattern:

The same lacey pattern (but with additional knit stitch in patten repeat) I used to make fingerless gloves for one b-day present (custom order).
Only once before I made mittens with fingers and I did fingers the way I thought it was supposed to be done - but this time I consulted with pro using this video tutorial .
The result:
Love making those gloves but dealing with cotton loose ends was pretty “painful”.

As regulat One Pretty Thing site’s stalker (wink, wink), among mountain of daily dozes of inspiration - one pretty tutorial cought my eyes!
Home for the Holidays ornaments are so cute, charming, playful … but as many other things on my mind - all I did was to put it on my TO-DO-LIST!
So when someone asked me to turn it into pillow - my inner ME was screaming (inside, ofcourse)!
The fabrics have been choosen:

I made house template (+ smaller ones: door, window, bird) transfering it with the help of ceramic vessels:

And if I mind my backpain and many, many straight machine stitches around small parts - the house pillow was pure joy and gratification!!!!!!

Finished measures cca 37X33cm
All fabrics are cotton from Cateks!
P.S. I’m sure those pillows are gonna be my favourite gift to people I love!
